Welcome to Third Grade! We are looking forward to a happy and productive year together! Here is some important information to help you understand what will be happening this year.
P.S. 52 follows the School Uniform Policy. Students are required to wear their school uniform Monday-Thursday. On the days that your child has gym, they may wear PS 52 Phys Ed pants or shorts and sneakers must be worn.
Throughout the year, there will be times that we will need to collect money, like for trips or school events. We ask that the money be placed in an envelope. Seal the envelope, and on the front, please write the following information: Child's Name, Class #, Amount of money enclosed, and what the money is for.
Please provide notice to the teacher one week in advance that you would like to celebrate your child's birthday. Birthdays will be celebrated in the classrooms, in the afternoons, and should last about 20 minutes. Due to allergies and safety concerns, goody bags containing food cannot be distributed. Please also check with your child's teacher to see if there are any food allergies in the class. Parents may attend, but siblings of any age may not attend.
