Welcome to Kindergarten! We are looking forward to a great year. This year your child will learn many new things. Kindergarten is a big transition year. Starting in September, we work on helping the students become independent. Please feel free to reach out to us at any point during the year if you have any questions or concerns.
Please send all supplies within the first 2 days of school.
Please only send what your child can carry each day.
All Supplies Must Be Labeled With Your Child’s Name And Class
Complete change of clothing for your child in a large Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name on it. (include shirt, pants, underwear and socks)
Your child’s teacher may ask for a few additional items once the school year begins.
Throughout the year, there will be times that we will need to collect money, like for trips or school events. We ask that the money be placed in an envelope. Seal the envelope, and on the front, please write the following information: Child's Name, Class #, Amount of money enclosed, and what the money is for.

AT PS 52, we monitor behavior using a Traffic Light System, GREEN means your child had a great day. Students always aim to stay on green. YELLOW is a warning. It may mean that something went wrong. But your child can always correct the behavior and go back to green. RED means your child was unable to correct their behavior and make better choices. He/She will be spoken to about the behavior and the teacher will follow up with parent contact.
Behavior Calendar- initial your child’s behavior calendar everyday. It will be located on your child’s folder.
Eureka Math is the program that we use at PS 52.
Zearn.org can be used to review numbers to 20. Your child will receive log in information from that soon.
