Welcome to Fifth Grade! This is an exciting year as students prepare for the transition to middle school. Our curriculum focuses on developing independence, critical thinking, and the academic skills needed for future success.
We encourage students to take ownership of their learning and become more responsible for their education. This includes keeping track of assignments, managing their time, and advocating for themselves when they need help.
Our goal is to create a supportive and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued, confident, safe and inspired to do their best! We always look forward to working closely with families to ensure a successful and memorable school year!!
Welcome to the Fifth Grade! Here is a list of supplies needed for the upcoming school year. Label all items with your child’s name and class.
Please note that it is extremely helpful if you send in supplies on the first day of school.
NO pencil sharpeners or mechanical pencils
More items may be added in September according to your child’s teacher’s preference.
Be sure that your child is prepared for school every day. Organization is the key to success. We look forward to seeing you in September!

Throughout the year, there will be times that we will need to collect money, like for trips or school events. We ask that the money be placed in an envelope. Seal the envelope, and on the front, please write the following information: Child's Name, Class #, Amount of money enclosed, and what the money is for.
Please provide notice to the teacher one week in advance that you would like to celebrate your child's birthday. Birthdays will be celebrated in the classrooms, in the afternoons, and should last about 20 minutes. Due to allergies and safety concerns, goody bags containing food cannot be distributed. Please also check with your child's teacher to see if there are any food allergies in the class. Parents may attend, but siblings of any age may not attend.
