From the Principal

It’s hard to believe how quickly this school year is passing! Our teachers and children in Grades 3-5 are working very, very hard to prepare for the upcoming New York State English Language Arts (ELA) and Math Tests. Our Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 2 teachers and children are working hard to master all of the basic skills needed for success now and when they reach the higher grades. During the past few weeks our Grade 3, 4 and 5 classes attended a special assembly program when P.S.52 Staff and P.T.A. received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, Grade 4 and 5 students participated in a bicycle safety assembly, we celebrated Respect for All Week, representatives from the United States Postal Office visited our school with cards and gifts for our classes, we’ve had our Science Fair and our P.S.52 Basketball Teams played well for their entire season!
We were delighted to see so many parents on March 12th for Parent Teacher Conferences. It was also wonderful seeing you at our Common Core Meeting, Parent ELA and Math Meetings and at our P.T.A. meetings. Our children benefit greatly from knowing that their parents and school work together to help them succeed academically.
Thank you for completing your Learning Environment Survey. Again this year you have the option of completing the survey online or mailing the green envelope. Your responses are important to us as we can utilize them in planning for next year.
It is our pleasure to see your children every day as they come to school smiling, happy and ready to learn!
